How to use YouScrobble

There are three simple steps, how to get on with YouScrobble:
Register on YouScrobble to get full access to all of the features offered by our service. YouScrobble is using Java to operate. Therefore you need to check and validate your Java version. The third step is to start using YouScrobble and download 1000's of songs quick and easie as never before!
This instruction will guide you through each single step. Quick and easy!

Register on YouScrobble

To get started create an account on YouScrobble or use an existing one. So please sign in or sign up. This enables you to have:
  • Personal statistics of all downloaded tracks
  • More than twice as much free downloads daily
  • Buy your own premium tracks to download even more music
  • Stay up to date with the latest changes and improvements
Further you can give feedback, participate in the community and much more!

Sign up

Signing up to YouScrobble is quite easy. You just have to provide us some basic information about yourself. Simply follow these steps:
  1. Go to http://www.youscrobble.com/signup
  2. Enter your email adress
  3. Enter your password twice
  4. Choose a username using the letters A-Z and numbers 0-9
  5. Enter your first name
  6. Read and agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy
  7. Click on "Create my account" to finalize the registration
  8. Goto your email account
  9. Open the welcome mail you've just received.
  10. Click on the validation link

Sign in

If you already registered for an account, you can follow these steps to sign in:
  1. Go to http://www.youscrobble.com/signin
  2. Enter the username you have chosen before
  3. Enter your password
  4. Finally click on "Sign In"

Check your Java version

YouScrobble uses Java to run. Therefore Java needs to be enabled and up to date to ensure that YouScrobble is working properly.

First check that you have the latest version of the Java plug-in installed in your browser:
  1. Visit http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp and click on the button "Verify Installation"
  2. If you do not have the latest version, visit http://www.java.com/en/download and click on the button "Download Now" This will download and install the latest version of the Java plug-in in your browser.

Internet Explorer

Interent Explorer allows you to enable Java either for all web sites or only for a selected number of "trusted sites". To activate Java only while visiting YouScrobble and other trusted sites follow the following steps:
  1. Go to the drop down menu for "Tools" and select "Internet Options"
  2. Click on the "Security" tab
  3. Click on the green checkmark labeled "Trusted Sites"
  4. Click on the "Sites" button
  5. On the box "add this web site to the zone" type "www.youscrobble.com" (without the quotes)
  6. Click the "add" button
  7. Click "OK"
  8. Adjust the slider labeled "security level for this zone" to any setting except "High" (the default level is "Low")
  9. Click the "Apply" button
  10. Click "OK"

Firefox

To enable Java in the Firefox browser follow the following steps:
  1. Under the "Tools" menu select "Options"
  2. Click on "Web Features" or "Content"
  3. Check the boxes labeled "Enable Java" and "Enable Javascript"
In Firefox you cannot enable Java only for selected sites, but you can limit the types of actions that Java is allowed to perform by clicking on the "Advanced" button to the right of the above boxes.

Start to YouScrobble

This last step is quite simple. With a click on Music you will see the most popular artists of your country. You can listen to all track direclty, download them or create your own personal playlist. Further you can search for your favorite tracks, categories, artists and albums.
